Veterans Day

A public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War l to honor US veterans and victims of the wars

The purpose of Veterans Day is to honor the end of World War l

It is important because it is a way to acknowledge the sacrifices they mad to serve their country

• Donate
• Ask someone about their service
• Visit a VA hospital
• Fly a flag

• Today , there are about 1.6 million female veterans
• The median income for veterans for 2009 was $35,000 a year
• California has more U.S. military veterans than any other state

I think Veterans Day is a really interesting and nice holiday . It’s nice to show people caring for the people who served for our country. This is probably one of my favorite holidays. I hope people continue to celebrate this holiday.
